The celebration highlights a year of expansion, innovation, and a renewed commitment to serving both people and the planet.
Living Roots Philippines, a trailblazer in sustainable cremation and waste management, recently marked a meaningful milestone—its first founding anniversary under the Living Roots brand. The celebration highlights a year of expansion, innovation, and a renewed commitment to serving both people and the planet.

Originally established under a different name in 2021, the company officially transitioned to Living Roots Philippines in April 2024. The rebrand aligned its operations with a clear mission: to provide eco-conscious waste solutions and dignified aftercare services for both humans and pets.
Since then, Living Roots has steadily built strong partnerships with local governments, memorial parks, veterinary groups, and private organizations across the country. With compassion and sustainability at its core, the company continues to offer solutions that respond to the growing demand for cleaner, more meaningful ways to manage life’s most difficult transitions.
“This rebranding wasn’t just a name change—it was a commitment to innovation, compassion, and environmental responsibility,” said Mark Abalo, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer. “We’ve stayed rooted in our purpose, and the results speak for themselves.”

Innovations Rooted in Purpose
Among the company’s offerings are Ecoferra, a rapid organic waste-to-compost machine now used by LGUs, hospitality groups, and developers, and AquaX—a water cremation system co-developed with an Australian firm. As of today, Living Roots remains the only provider of aquamation technology in the Philippines.
Community at the Heart
Beyond business, Living Roots actively engages in initiatives that give back. In March 2025, the company joined Philkonstrak Development Corporation, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – Cebu Chapter, and the Philippine Red Cross for a blood donation drive and dental mission held at the PDC Jaclupan Ecotourism Resort. The outreach effort reflects the company’s belief in public service and well-being.

The first-year anniversary was celebrated on April 13, 2025, at the company’s newly opened regional office in Brgy. Jaclupan, Talisay City. The event featured a community parade, an office blessing officiated by Rev. Fr. Chris Ian De Los Santos, a shared lunch, and the distribution of grocery packs to selected beneficiaries from the barangay. Representatives from the Talisay City Chamber of Commerce and local barangay council were present, showing support for the company’s growing role in the region.
“We chose to open our office here because this place reflects who we are,” said Abalo. “It’s quiet but resilient. Humble but full of potential. Just like how we started.”

Reaching More Communities
The Jaclupan office now serves as the operational hub for clients in the Visayas and Mindanao, improving service coverage across southern regions. Meanwhile, the company’s Bulacan warehouse continues to support Luzon operations—ensuring nationwide availability of its cremation machines, aquamation systems, and composting equipment.
“From humble beginnings, we have worked hard to build solutions that serve not just businesses, but also families, communities, and the environment,” said Rotchel Delvo, Co-founder of Living Roots.

Looking Ahead
Living Roots is developing new technologies aimed at converting everyday trash into useful materials such as school chairs and desks. The company is also working on eco-friendly incinerators designed to reduce landfill dependency and help promote cleaner, more sustainable communities.
For Living Roots Philippines, the anniversary wasn’t just a celebration—it was a powerful reminder of why it began in the first place:To honor life, protect the environment, and lead the way in sustainable aftercare and waste solutions for the Philippines.
